Wie heisst du, woher kommst du und wie heisst dein Zine oder Distro?
Hi! Ich heiße Ursi, komme ursprünglich aus Regensburg (das ist im hochkonservativen Bayern! Igitt! Igitt!), wohne nach einem längeren Zwischenstopp in Paris nun seit gerade mal 2 Jährchen in Berlin.
Mein Zine heißt *grrrls in subculture* & zudem betreibe ich mit lieben Freund_innen das *Until all are free Distro*!

Worum geht es in deinen Zines.
Grrrls in subculture*ist ein feministisches HC/Punk Zine. Die meisten Frauen* in der Hardcore und Punk Szene waren bereits mit Macho Typen konfrontiert oder haben sich, so wie ich selbst, nie getraut ein Instrument anzufassen oder eine Band zu gründen. Damit das anders wird, müssen wir besonders den jüngeren Mädchen* zeigen: Es geht! Grrrls in subculture soll also Frauen* dieser Szene eine Stimme geben und außerdem dazu anregen über das Geschlechterverhältnis und den Umgang miteinander nachzudenken. Es ist ein ausgestreckter Mittelfinger an die Tough Guys der Szene!

Was bedeuten deine Zines für dich?
Es hat mir unheimlich gut getan meine Wut auf Macker & andere antifeministische Menschen durchs Schreiben und Basteln rauszulassen. Das war durchaus therapeutisch. Dementsprechend bedeuten mir meine Zines wirklich viel! Durch grrrls in subculture habe ich außerdem fantastische Leute kennengelernt. Ich bin wahnsinnig glücklich dieses Projekt gestartet zu haben.

Wie lange machst du schon Zines?
Ich habe damit 2011 angefangen.

An grrrls in subculture #3!

Gibt es Ideen oder Projekte, für deren Umsetzung du noch Hilfe brauchst und wegen welcher sich Menschen bei dir melden sollen?
Ich bin immer auf der Suche nach kreativen grrrls*, die Lust haben über ihre Erfahrungen in der Punk Szene zu schreiben/malen/dichten/whatever. Meldet euch gerne!!

Was möchtest du sonst mit den ZFB-Zinesters teilen?
Danke, dass ihr alle eure Energie in Zines steckt. Besonders persönliche Zines sind mir stark ans Herz gewachsen. Es ist unheimlich mutig eigene Erfahrungen und Ideen zu veröffentlichen. Zines geben dafür den perfekten Rahmen. Ich denke, dass wir durch die Zine Kultur alle wachsen können. Wenn wir persönliches teilen, dann haben andere Menschen zum
Beispiel die Möglichkeit ein „Ich bin mit … nicht allein.“ zu entwickeln. Danke euch allen!

What’s your name, where are you from and what’s the title of your zine/ distro?
Hej, my name is Johanna Maria and I am from Leipzig. My zine-project is called Riotmade with Love. I also write a personal zine called Momo. Besides I also do research on queer/feminist zines.

What is it about?
Riotmade with love is an open d.i.y. project. It’s queer/feminist, pro-kitten and full of love for the unexpected, dancing, travelling, collectivity, the hidden beauties of every-day, activism and sparkling freaks. Riotmade with love wants to share zines, thoughts, workshops and other little somethings with you. I table with my personal zine and also some other zines I am involved with / I like a lot. I hope that Riotmade with Love will develop to a small distro someday. My personal zine Momo is about travelling, friendship, love, queer/feminism and the little adventures in every day. Every issue covers different topics depending on what’s happening in my life.

What does your zine/ distro mean to you?
For me zines are a wonderful way to share things with other people and to get to know them. I learned that zines can create friendship and they are a good reason to travel as well! So this year I travelled to Vilnius for a queer zine fair and in december I will table at the second queer zinefest in London.

How long have you been making zines?
I started making zines more than three years ago. Besides my personal zine I also participated in different zine-projects like ‘Dressed like that’ and the ‘Krass’ magazine.
What other zine projects are you working on at the moment?
I work with Katrin from Heavy Mental Distro on a compilation zine about self-love and self-care.

Are there any projects/ ideas/ networking that you need help with, and would like people to contact you about it?
We are really happy for people to join our compilation zine on self-love and self-care. You can find the call for submissions at my blog. Besides I am really happy to give workshops on (queer/feminist) zines. So if you want me to do one don’t hesitate to contact me. I love to travel and meet other queer/feminists and zinesters.

I am really happy to participate in ZFB for the second time. Last year I went home with so many beautiful zines and lots of inspiration.

Wie heisst du, woher kommst du und wie heisst dein Zine oder Distro.
Wir sind die trans*geniale f_antifa aus Berlin. Wir sind eine queer-feministische, antifaschistische Gruppe und beschäftigen uns auch viel mit trans*gender issues. Uns sind aber auch andere Themen wichtig, zum Beispiel Asexualität und Sober Spaces (drogenfreie Räume). Wir beschäftigen uns zudem mit jüdischem Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus.

Worum geht es in deinen Zines.
Eines unserer Zines heißt »›Ich bin nie aus Auschwitz befreit worden.‹ Perspektiven Jüdischer Partisaninnen zum Tag der Befreiung«. Der 8. Mai wird ja auch in Berlin als Tag der Befreiung gefeiert. Das finden wir gut.
Wir wollen aber auch daran erinnern, dass am 8. Mai 1945 leider nicht alle von den Nazis Verfolgten etwas zu feiern hatten. Denn die Jüdinnen_Juden, die den Krieg und die Shoah überlebt hatten, waren oft die einzigen aus ihren Familien, die überlebten.

In unserem Zine »Mädchen? Junge? Pony?« versuchen wir, Fragen rund um das Thema Trans*geschlechtlichkeit zu beantworten. Wir haben versucht, möglichst einfach zu schreiben, damit viele Menschen verstehen, was wir zu sagen haben. Das Zine richtet sich also auch an Menschen, die sich noch nicht mit Feminismus und Queer beschäftigt haben.

Was bedeuten deine Zines für dich?
Diese Zines zu machen ist ein wichtiger Teil unserer Gruppenarbeit. Denn das gemeinsame Schreiben der Texte ist sehr empowernd und wir können dabei viel voneinander lernen, weil wir alle verschiedene Standpunkte und Hintergründe haben. Außerdem hoffen wir, mit den Zines Menschen für Themen sensibilisieren und hoffentlich zum Nachdenken anregen zu können.

Wie lange machst du schon Zines?
Zusammen machen wir seit etwa Juli 2013 Zines. Einige von uns machen aber schon seit mehreren Jahren eigene (persönliche) Zines.

An welchen Zineprojekten arbeitest du gerade?
Wir arbeiten gerade an der Übersetzung unserer deutschsprachigen Zines ins Englische. Wir planen auch andere Zines, zum Beispiel zur Kritik an trans*feindlichen Tendenzen in feministischen Bewegungen.

Gibt es Ideen oder Projekte, für deren Umsetzung du noch Hilfe brauchst und wegen welcher sich Menschen bei dir melden sollen? (zum Beispiel zum Besteuern von Beiträgen für ein Zine, zum Organisieren von Zine-Events oder wegen spezieller Dinge, die ihr sucht o.ä.)
Wir freuen uns immer über Leute, die unsere Zines verteilen und verbreiten. Ihr könnt die Zines auch gerne selbst vervielfältigen.

Was möchtest du sonst mit den ZFB-Zinesters teilen?
Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Ihr zu unserem Vortrag über jüdischen Widerstand gegen Nationalsozialismus und deutsche Besatzung kommt. Wir freuen uns sehr auf das Zinefest und auf Euch alle.

My Name is Héctor Perez , im from Perú and i run Perseverancia Fanzine and Distro

What is it about?
The Fanzine shows all about the hardcore punk scene in southamerica and some other places in the world, where normally are not famous about this kind of music and ideology. Try to show what is going there with some scene reports, interviews with Bands, Reviews of Music and Film, etc.

What does your zine/ distro mean to you?
well Perseverancia is the best way to show that there are so many places in this planet doing lot of wonderfull things. Perseverancia is for me too the way to conect with other people with the same interests like me and also is a place where i can show my perspective about the music.

How long have you been making zines?
I started in 1999 with another fanzine called sub-urbano but i stoped in 2002 and i started again in 2007 till now 🙂

What other zine projects are you working on at the moment?
i try to focus my time just in Perseverancia because i run a litle Tape Label too so i dont have many time to work in other zine projects.

Abgesehen von Unikaten..ich ähm, fange grade erst damit an// Apart from producing unique books..I just sort of started this year…

What other zine projects are you working on at the moment?
Ich versuche meine Reisebücher zu vervielfältigen, mit Druck, mit Bleisatz, Kopierer,… Ich arbeite an einer Zeitschrift mit Gedichten und Songtexten, die Bilder ergeben. Als offene Zusammenarbeit mit anderen. // I am trying to find a form to reproduce my travel books, printing, letterpress, copyshop… I am working on a magazine with poetry and lyrics and how they turn into drawings, pictures,…pictorial forms. What are you bringing to this year’s zinefest?
A bunch of personal zines and comix, mainly related to queer, feminist
topics. we will bring some new zines aswell: the Universal vs Specific,
Fix my Head #3: PUNX OF COLOUR, Wigged: ein zine rund um’s Thema
Haarausfall, it’s down to this, philly dudes collective

What are your influences?
Well, we think that feminist, queer critiques are portraying lots of
problems within our circles (subculture/academics/general society…) and
therefore need to be named. But they also show possibilities how to create
responsibility within communities.

Why zines?
Because in zines people can tell all kinds of stories – there is no one
who judges if your work is worth to be published or not. This might not
always be a good thing, but it definately means there are not as many
obstacles to overcome as in other forms of publishing. Zines are a
possibbility to get off of your individualized problems and make them
visible and speechable as a structural one. This is probably why personal
zines became so popular and there are a lot of excellent zines containing
politics and everydaylife aspects, which in our view make up one of the
greatest strenght of the medium. There is definately a different
interaction between reader and writer. It is like in general that good
literature can be educational but zines are appearing even less like an
authority or objectivity than books do. You read a zine and you think:
This is my life! Or you can read about really radical ideas and start
thinking about it without feeling directly confronted, due to it’s
subjective nature.

What are your expectations of the zinefest?
New Zines, amazing people and a relaxed atmosphere.

Wie heisst dein Zine?
Mein neuestes Mini-Comic ist „Mein freier Tag“, bzw. „My day off“.

Wo kommst du her?
Berlin

Was bringst du zum Zinefest?
Außer „Mein freier Tag“ noch 3 Tijuana Bibles. Die neueste heißt „Bible #3“ und handelt von 2 Kunststudentinnen. Ich bringe die letzten Exemplare von „Masturbation“ mit, ein experimentelles Comicheft, in dem es um Einsamkeit geht und das „comic-sport“-Buch, in dem die Ergüsse des ersten halben Jahrs meines, mittlerweile so gut wie stillgelegten, Blogs comic-sport.blogspot.com versammelt sind. Da ich den Stand von „Renate“ mache, werdet Ihr noch viele andere Zines und Anthologien dort finden, in denen ich teilweise auch vertreten bin.

Warum Zines?
Meine Zwillingsschwester Ulla und ich waren schon als Kinder fasziniert von Manufakturen, von der Idee, etwas alleine per Hand zu vervielfältigen. Das liebe ich noch immer: diese Freiheit, unabhängig von Verlegern oder Geldgebern, Kunst zu produzieren. Mensch kann das Heft in jeder Phase des Produktionsprozesses selbst gestalten. Außerdem finde ich Handarbeit entspannend.

Was sind deine Erwartungen für das zinefest?
Leute treffen, neue Zines kennenlernen und vielleicht, wenn die Zeit es zulässt, an einem Vortrag oder Workshop teilnehmen.
